Leading a team of Supplier Inspection Coordinators, providing guidance, training and support to ensure quality of the procured equipment and materials are as per Purchase Order requirements. Establish project specific processes as required. Be a focal point for client, Project Procurement Manager and Project Quality Manager for all supplier quality related matters.
Effective Communication | Maintain effective communication with clients, suppliers and other stakeholders such as engineering, construction, to name a few, regarding inspection matters to ensure compliance to project quality requirements. |
Supplier Inspection Management | Manage the Supplier Inspection Management Plan (SIMP) for efficient inspection coordination. |
Timely Document Management | Ensure timely management of receipt, registration, distribution, tracking, and closeout of Notice of Inspections (NOIs) and inspection reports from Third party inspectors (TPIs) through respective package Supplier Inspection Coordinators (SICs). |
Bid Review and Evaluation | Review bids from suppliers and provide input for the technical bid evaluation. |
QA/QC Document Support | Offer input to the Inspection & Test Plan (ITP) and other supplier-related Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) documents to support SICs in document review. |
Issue Resolution and Collaboration | Intervene and resolve issues that may arise in the inspection process by collaborating with Supplier Inspection Coordinators, Package Managers, Package Engineers, and the Procurement team. |
Risk Identification and Mitigation | Identify potential risks in the supplier inspection process and implement strategies with Supplier Quality Management (SQM) to mitigate them. |
Budget plan & forecasting | Provide inspection budget plan & forecasts. |
Data Accuracy Monitoring | Continuously monitor the Notification of Inspection (NOI) tracker, IRC register, Ex inspection register, etc., to maintain accuracy for Key Performance Indicators (KPI) data reporting. |
Readiness Assurance | Ensure seamless Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) readiness review, Pre-Release Readiness Review, and Inspection Release Certificate (IRC) issuance. |
• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical or any relevant Engineering discipline. Degree is preferred.
• CSWIP/ AWS certification is mandatory.
• ISO 9001:2015 Lead Quality Auditor certification is mandatory.
• NDE Level III/II/NACE Level II is preferred.
