The Project Engineer is tasked with planning and executing specific job tasks or work scopes on the FPSO project. The complexity and scale of these scopes can vary based on the Project Engineer's level of seniority.
Project management | Assist the Area Manager in overseeing and managing the EPC scopes of the project. Responsibilities may include managing various work scopes or "mini-projects" within each phase to ensure the overall success and timely delivery of the project. |
Project management | Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure that project activities and deliverables are executed and delivered according to the schedule. |
Project planning and monitoring | Create comprehensive plans and timelines for the different stages of the project, including contributions to the overall project schedule development. |
Project planning and monitoring | Monitoring the overall project schedule and its work scopes is crucial, including expediting: 1. Engineering progress and tracking the issuance of deliverables to support related functions such as procurement and construction. 2. Procurement activities and providing support for procurement processes, purchase orders, and package engineering. 3. The timely review of engineering for package engineering and monitoring the progress of key vendor data. 4. Construction activities and ensuring the on-time delivery of essential fabrication drawings and equipment by the required dates. |
Technical knowledge | Participate in design and technical reviews, as well as workshops, to develop action registers that monitor the implementation and closeout status. |
Communication and stakeholder management | Notify other functions of potential delays and develop plans to mitigate them. |

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent technical discipline.
Entry level:
2-4 years of experience in Oil and Gas industry and/or in EPC projects or equivalent.
Lead Project Engineer:
4-8 years of experience in Oil and Gas industry.
4-8 years of experience in EPC projects or equivalent.
Senior Lead Project Engineer:
Minimum 10 years of experience in Oil and Gas industry.
Minimum 10 years of experience in EPC projects or equivalent.
Knowledge of project management principles.
PMP certification is desired.
Technical knowledge in FPSOs or other oil and gas facilities.
