1 Overall Job Purpose

1.1 Responsible for the execution electrical activities of the plant and the safe work practice in the Electricity on the facility under supervision of the Electrical Supervisor by ensuring that activities are performed as per latest documentation in the Integrated Management System (IMS), timely and in an efficient manner.

2 Core Responsibilities

2.1 Perform maintenance activities, repair inspection of electrical equipment according to the Planned Maintenance System, performing and working together with the RPE and other technicians.

Carry out maintenance, repair inspection activities on electrical equipment in accordance with the Planned Maintenance System, executing and working closely with the RPE and another technician.

2.2 Develop day by day knowledge of working with Electricity Standard and national and international standards (IEC and IEEE) applicable to Electrical discipline.

2.3 Contribute with the perfect functioning of the instrument, reporting deficiencies and malfunctioning, discussing and analyzing technical and spares issues with the RPE as well as proposing solutions for the weak points using the technical knowledge and experience.

2.4 Ensure the safe and efficient functioning of emergency plant, equipment and machinery, filling up the logbook on daily basis as directed by RPE.

2.5 Ensure compliance with MODEC Permit to Work system, isolation standard being aware about latest revision of PTW and act as Permit user of PTW for the task performed by Electrical team.

2.6 Ensure that high standard of housekeeping is present in the E House and the worksite which are under RPE responsibility.

2.7 Ensure that any defect will be reported, and action plan commenced in order to fix the deficiency, through the regular rounds on the facility checking all the electrical equipment’s and components by following up order from RPE.

2.8 Assure that proper information is filled up into the SAP for the tasks performed. Follow up the plan execution with RPE.

2.9 Assist to RPE to review the Maintenance plan providing inputs for the plan base of technical knowledge and experience.

2.10 Contribute with preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance on daily basis by demonstrating initiative in identifying improvement opportunities for performance improvement of equipment and systems.

2.11 Assure that any inspection activity and electrical maintenance is performed with PTW under the supervision and guidance of RPE and perform the activities according to voltage level that is authorized to work, as described in letter of authorization to work with electricity.

2.12 Contribute to solve emergency situations, according to Emergency response plan.

2.13 Contribute with performing any additional task compatible with the professional training requested by RPE or Maintenance Superintendent.

2.14 Develop a close working relationship with all Departments.

2.15 Ensure that the tools used are in good condition and they are certified, inform Supervisor when any deviation noticed.

2.16 Demonstrate ownership of own training requirements and proactively arrange training to be done/renewed in time as per MODEC Integrated Management System.

3.3 Emergency Plan: As per indication on the Training Matrix, Emergency Management Guide and Offshore Emergency Management, available in the Integrated Management System (IMS).

6 Job Challenges and Problem Solving

6.1 Deal with all Operations and Maintenance demands during process plant upsets and shutdowns, due to the reduced number of electricians onboard.

7 Qualifications & Experience

7.1 Educational Qualification:

High School Degree – Mandatory.

Technical School Degree – Expected.

A tertiary qualification such as a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent – Expected;

7.2 Certifications:

As per educational qualification;

7.3 Trainings: Complies with the Training Matrix and Regulatory and Required by Modec Training Management Procedure, available in the Integrated Management System (IMS).

7.4 Relevant Experience:

Must have proven experience with similar electrical systems on FPSOs.

Experience on Permit-to-work system, isolations system and risk assessments.
