1 Overall Job Purpose

1.1 Responsible for all electrical activities of the plant and the safe work practice in the Electricity, ensuring that activities are performed as per latest documentation in the Integrated Management System (IMS), timely, in an efficient manner and leading the electrical team.

2 Core Responsibilities

2.1 Supervise and carry out maintenance, repair inspection activities on electrical equipment in accordance with the Planned Maintenance System, directing and working closely with the Electrical Team.

2.2 Assure the control of all documents required as per local regulation and international standards and maintain, acting as the Legal Responsible for all electrical systems.

2.3 Contribute with the perfect functioning of the instrument, reporting deficiencies and malfunctioning, discussing and analyzing technical and spares issues with the Maintenance Superintendent as well as proposing solutions for the weak points using the technical knowledge and experience.

2.4 Ensure the safe and efficient functioning of emergency plant, equipment and machinery, filling up the book on daily basis.

2.5 Ensure compliance with MODEC Permit to Work system, isolation standard being aware about latest revision of PTW and act as originator of PTW for the task performed by Electrical team.

2.6 Ensure that high standard of housekeeping is present in the E House and the worksite, performing the area inspection and direct the subordinates to act when required.

2.7 Ensure that any defect will be report and action plan commenced in order to fix the deficiency, through the regular rounds on the facility checking all the electrical equipment’s and components.

2.8 Assure the properly follow up for the Maintenance Plan, checking if that all work orders are filled up properly into SAP.

2.9 Assist to Planner and Maintenance Supt to review the Maintenance plan providing inputs for the plan base of technical knowledge and experience.

2.10 Ensure that all workers which intervene in the electrical equipment (Electrical Technicians, Electrical Supervisors, Instrument Technicians, Metering Technicians, System Technicians and Instrument Supervisors, third partners) onboard have all trainings legally required, documents required (Capacitation Letter for special cases endorsed by RPE, Graduation Certificate and Authorization Letters) and identification at work site.

2.11 Responsible to ensure all crew authorized to work in High Voltage is trained and tested at least yearly on maneuvering HV Systems and ‘Black Startup Procedures’. Nominee the successors in order which will operate the plant in emergency cases where the RPE cannot perform his duties due to injuries, sickness, vacation or absence times (embark/disembark).

2.12 Contribute to solve emergencies, naming role of Emergency Response Team, taking part in all drills and exercises and coaching the team members when improvement point noticed.

2.13 Responsible to follow up the MIMS system. All CAPA’S assigned to Lead RPE to be act promptly. Assist with NOI investigation.

2.14 Assure the operation and maintenance (electrical wise) of the Gas Turbines Generators and Diesel Generators (Emergency and Essential), performing the data collection and cross check of the parameters on daily basis.

2.15 Ensure that the tools used by electrical team are in good condition and they are certified, taking actions when required to discard, replace or calibrate.

2.16 Develop a close working relationship with all Department Supervisors.

2.17 Ensure that comprehensive hand over is created according to MODEC procedure, being aware about the Handover procedure.

2.18 Understanding of production and marine systems, including the principles of all hydrocarbon systems and their safety critical interfaces and dependencies.

2.19 Demonstrate ownership of own training requirements and proactively arrange training to be done/renewed in time as per MODEC Integrated Management System.

2.20 Effectively works on local personnel development plan as per management guidance.

6.1 Monitors subordinate’s performance and provide frequent feedback to them. Need pay attention when constructive feedback is being provided due to fact that most of the people don’t accept it.

6.2 Deal with all Operations and Maintenance demands during process plant upsets and shutdowns, due to the reduced number of electricians onboard.

7 Qualifications & Experience

7.1 Educational Qualification:

High School Degree – Mandatory.

Technical School Degree – Expected.

A tertiary qualification such as a Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumentation & Control and/or Electrical Engineering or equivalent – Expected;

7.2 Certifications:

As per educational qualification;

7.3 Trainings: Complies with the Training Matrix and Regulatory and Required by Modec Training Management Procedure, available in the Integrated Management System (IMS).

7.4 Relevant Experience:

Must have proven experience with similar electrical systems and team leadership.

Minimum experience of 5 years on offshore Process Operations / experience Offshore oil and gas / FPSO experience during Operations Phase and 3 years with team leading role.

Experience on Permit-to-work system, isolations system and risk assessments.

Expected previous experience as RPE on FPSOs.

8.1 Complies with safety and occupational health conditions for the job position according to the Occupational Health Management Procedure, available in the Integrated Management System (IMS).
