1 Overall Job Purpose
1.1 Responsible for the safe and efficient operations of all production related systems, by operating the Distributed Control System (DCS), monitoring and controlling all processes values within -design ranges and following the Integrated Management System (IMS) work instructions, under direction of the Production Supervisor/ Superintendent.
2 Core Responsibilities
2.1 Act as Leader to all Production Operators as required and appointed by the Production Supervisor by using his/her experience and knowledge for a world class operation.
2.2 Commission/Decommission, start up, operate, monitor, shut down, prepare for maintenance and reinstate process and process-related equipment as required or under the direction of the Production Supervisor/ Superintendent.
2.3 Ensure the safe and efficient operation of process plant, systems, and associated equipment during the shift have continuity by proper handovers to the next shift.
2.4 Monitor the correct functioning of plant equipment and instrumentation by assisting on optimizing production and chemicals injection as required and instructed.
2.5 Assist other departments and/or contractors as required and/or instructed by the Production Supervisor.
2.6 Take the assigned responsibilities by the Company Integrated Management Sytems, e.g Acting as Area authority as required; Acting as Isolation Authority as required, etc.
2.7 Ensure the topsides are cleaned, organized and safely by checking worksites upon activities completion to ensure the area is left cleaned and by providing housekeeping whenever required.
2.8 Perform the activities from CMMS as required by always applying the best industry standards.
2.9 Monitor and control all process-related equipment via the FCS and other control panels during the shift.
2.10 Provide production personnel and service contractors with adequate and suitable emergency information as directed by the Production Superintendent / Production Supervisor
2.11 Understand all PSD, ESD and C&E (cause & effects) diagrams
2.12 Guarantee the Production team on shift follows Superintendent’s instruction to optimize production and chemical injection rates.
2.13 Monitor and execute the application of process related inhibits and overrides, as per the Task Risk Assessment and Safety System Override Certificates, and authorized an approved by Production Superintendent and OIM respectively.
2.14 Provide faithful information to client (if requested) and Modec managers with Production Superintendent authorization..
2.15 Ensure Client procedures are duly known, observed and complied with by the Production team on shift.
2.16 Carry out the operation of process plant and production related equipment, safely and efficiently, under the direction of the Production Supervisor/Superintendent.
2.17 Ensure that the PTW and Isolation system is adhered to and managed.
2.18 Supervise Production team on shift and assist contractors where needed.
2.19 Demonstrate ownership of own training requirements and proactively arrange training to be done/renewed in time as per MODEC Integrated Management System.
2.20 Effectively works on local personnel development plan as per management guidance.
3 HSSE Requirements and Code of Conduct
3.1 HSSE: Act in compliance with the corporate HSSEQ Management System Policy, the MODEC Life Saving Rules, and the policies, guides, process standards and work instructions available in the Integrated Management System (IMS).
Act to promote the preservation of the environment, the health and occupational safety (personnel and their team), the safety of processes, and the preservation of assets in their scale of responsibility.

7 Qualifications & Experience
7.1 Educational Qualification:
High School Degree - Mandatory
Technical School Degree - Expected.
Engineering Degree – Optional
7.2 Certifications:
Educational Certification
7.3 Trainings: Complies with the Training Matrix and Regulatory and Required by Modec Training Management Procedure, available in the Integrated Management System (IMS).
7.4 Relevant Experience:
Relevant experience in the onshore/offshore petroleum, petrochemical and/or refinery industries in similar role;
Experience on DCS operation – Mandatory
Experience with Honeywell DCS – Expected;
