Mechanical engineer with +5 Years experience in Oil and Gas industry preferable with offshore project capable to provide engineering support for the engineering assessment, planning, execution and closeout of repairs to static mechanical equipment and structures on an offshore production vessel FPSO. The role covers process and utility piping across different services, materials and pressure classes; pressure vessels; manual and actuated valves; and structural steel and marine structures. The engineer works with Operations, Maintenance, Integrity, Inspection, vendors and the classification society and other international standards as applicable.
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS
- Proven experience with piping systems, pressure vessels, static equipment, valves, and structural repairs.
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, piping isometrics, equipment and structural drawings, specifications, and inspection reports.
- Working knowledge of materials, welding, NDE, pressure testing, and repair methodologies.
- Strong working knowledge of applicable ASME, API, ASTM, and ABS codes and standards, particularly ASME B31.3, ASME VIII/IX, API 510, API 570, and API 579/ASME FFS-1.
- Familiarity with offshore/marine structures, class requirements, and repair documentation.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
- Previous FPSO/FSO or offshore production facility experience. Experience with shutdowns, major repair campaigns, WorkPacks, MOC, and vendor coordination.
- Knowledge of ASME PCC-2, AWS, and applicable ISO standards.
- Experience coordinating with Classification Societies, particularly ABS.
- API 510/570, welding inspection, or NDE certifications are advantageous.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, or related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in offshore Oil & Gas, FPSO/FSO, shipyard, petrochemical, or process facilities.
- Professional working proficiency in English.
