Role Purpose
IT Infrastructure Engineer will be the subject matter expert and individual contributor in managing IT infrastructure implementation, daily operation, maintenance and upgrade of IT assets (servers, IT equipment) for Modec Singapore offices (main office and project offices). This role will also be assigned to FPSO projects during EPCI phases, to plan/purchase/setup vessels’ infrastructure, implementing IT solutions and manage the IT delivery project throughout project cycles.
Key Accountabilities
| [FPSO Project] Project Planning and Execution | Deployed and work in vessel projects from planning till completion (sail-out) phase as key IT PIC to deliver IT requirements/packages. |
| [FPSO Project] Technical Solution and Procurement | Responsible for studying vessels’ IT requirements, preparing RFP/RFQ, high-level technical solutions/designs, and managing IT equipment purchase, setup, testing, and deployment. |
| [FPSO Project] Project Reporting | Provide timely and routine project reporting to key stakeholders, including the vessel project team and senior management. |
| [FPSO Project] Technical Liaison | Act as the IT partner/point of contact for the EPCI project team in Singapore to discuss technical requirements and issues during project cycles. |
| [FPSO Project] Project Management | Manage IT package project schedules, quality, issues, and costs to ensure delivery within committed timelines and budgets. |
| [Corporate] Daily IT Operations | Administer and support servers, AWS, VMware, Nutanix, Cohesity, Active Directory, and enterprise management systems (SCCM). |
| [Corporate] Enterprise OS and AWS Management | Build, deploy, and maintain enterprise operating system images and manage AWS services like EC2, Workspace, and CloudWatch. |
| [Corporate] Security and Backup Management | Deploy security fixes, manage Group Policy deployments, and ensure regular backups of critical server data. |
| [Corporate] L3 Technical Support and System Monitoring | Provide L3 support for complex infrastructure issues, set up systems for various offices and projects, and monitor infrastructure health. |
| [Corporate] Documentation and Audit Support | Create and maintain technical documentation, support internal and external audits, and ensure compliance with best practices. |
Qualifications
•Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related disciplines
•At least 5 years of relevant IT experience in designing, deploying and managing complex IT infrastructure systems and services.

•Preferably candidate from similar industry (Offshore, Oil & Gas or project base business environment)
•Must have strong knowledge and hands on experience with Windows Server 2K12/2k16, Linux, Microsoft SCCM, and VMware/Nutanix virtualization, AWS or Azure Cloud, MS 365,
•Must have experience in playing implementor role and managing IT Infrastructure related project (eg. New office infra setup, implement new infra solutions/services)
•Working experience in Active Directory and implementing/troubleshooting Group Policy Objects (GPO), Windows desktop image deployment.
•Good project management skills with at least few cycles of end-to-end project involvement.
•Ability to work in a global team environment with strong interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills is a must.
•Ability to work as individual contributor with minimum supervision
•Ability to effectively self-plan, manage, prioritize and execute tasks under low clarity situation.
•Technical certification such as MCSE, Cisco, ITIL, Cloud certification (AMS/AZURE), PMP would be advantages.
•Fluent in spoken and written English
•Outside field work and working at heights are required, as the shipyard installations must also be supervised and executed.
•Due to the global presence of stakeholders, it is necessary to attend meetings at irregular times.
•Since he/she will also need to perform project management tasks, he/she has an understanding of WBS and gun charts, and is familiar with Microsoft Visio, Project, and other scheduling software.
•Need to be involved in procurement, so experience in negotiating with vendors, placing orders, managing deliveries, and receiving operations is required.
