The responsibilities of the maintenance engineer will include:

• Provide engineering support for preventive and corrective maintenance of instrumentation and control equipment (pressure, temperature, flow, and level transmitters; control valves; analyzers; fire & gas detection systems; etc.).

• Troubleshoot issues in control and safety systems, including Distributed Control System (DCS), Emergency Shutdown System (ESD), Fire & Gas System (F&G), and other PLC-based applications.

• Review, evaluate, and update maintenance strategies and spare parts requirements for critical instruments and control equipment.

• Interface with offshore operations to provide remote support during shutdowns, trips, or abnormal events.

• Prepare work scopes, procedures, and technical documentation to support offshore interventions.

• Coordinate with vendors and service companies for specialized repairs, calibrations, and upgrades.

• Ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulations (API, IEC, ABS, SOLAS, IMO, and client requirements).

• Support Management of Change (MoC) and ensure proper documentation of modifications.

• Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) for failures involving instrumentation or control systems.

  • Assist in planning and execution of statutory/class inspections and annual performance tests (e.g., ESD, F&G loops, valve stroke tests).
