1. 1. Overall, Job Purpose

1.1 The Contracts and Operations Engineer is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the OMC performance and processes to ensure compliance with the OMC requirements. This role involves monitoring production systems (ex: WESTON, SALESFORCE), reporting troubleshooting issues, implementing process improvements, maintaining a comprehensive database of the OMC including key processes, deliverables, assignments and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support the organization's contractual objectives with the client. Monitor contract performance and compliance, identifying and addressing any issues or discrepancies to achieve operational excellence. The Contract and Operations Engineer will play a key role in maintaining high standards of compliance and performance in the OMC.

  1. 2. Core Responsibilities

2.1 Production Monitoring and Optimization as per OMC:

  • Monitor and analyze production systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency as per the OMC requirements.
  • Issue reports as per the OMC schedule related to production activities and KPI follow up.
  • Identify and report discrepancies, inefficiencies, and technical issues for operations improvement.
  • Monitor OMC performance communication with the Client.
  • Implement compliance process improvements and best practices to enhance OMC performance.

Reporting:

  • Serve as OMC point of contact in contracts departments and follow up Diagnosis and troubleshoot equipment and system malfunctions with responsible departments for the reporting.
  • Develop and implement OMC performance follow up and preventive actions with Operations and Maintenance team to mitigate risk of non-performance.
  • Ensure compliance with laws and regulatory standards during operations activities.

Process Improvement:

  • Conduct root cause analysis of production issues and implement corrective actions as per the reports on regular basis.
  • Collaborate with operations teams to develop and implement process improvement initiatives.
  • Utilize data analysis and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement efforts.

Project Management:

  • Lead and manage deliverables submissions as per OMC schedule.
  • Support Cost control department for development and timelines for AWP&B submission, and generally ensuring that OCM requirements are completed on time and within scope.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful OMC execution.
  • Coordinate OMC amendments during its lifecycle.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of production processes, and OMC activities to be reported.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on production performance, highlighting key metrics and improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure proper documentation of compliance with Laws and regulatory requirements.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, maintenance, HSSE, and procurement, to achieve OMC performance goals.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, management, and external partners to ensure alignment and coordination.
  • Provide technical support as needed.

3.2 Compliance: Complies with the MODEC Group Policy Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and always expected training.

3.3 Make manpower and financial resources available for the purposes of technical integrity assurance and, where appropriate “added value” training in safety and environmental protection.

3.4 Ensure that Emergency Response capabilities are constantly maintained. Member of the Emergency Response Group.

3.5 Encourage employee participation in areas of safety, environmental protection and technical integrity as per requirements of the Safety Case.

3.6 Ensure all resources are available where required to efficiently ensure continued technical integrity of the MODEC FPSO/FSO.

3.7 Ensure that a communication forum for HSSEQ exists.

3.8 Ensure that training resources for HSSEQ are available.

3.9 Encourage behavior observation systems.

      1. 7. Qualifications & Experience

      7.1 Educational Qualification:

      7.2 Certification(s):

      • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
      • A master’s degree or relevant certification (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing) is a plus.

      7.3 Relevant Experience:

      • Proven experience in a production engineering role, preferably within an OMC or similar environment.
      • Experience in the operations and maintenance in the oil and gas or a related industry.
      • Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies.

      7.4 Language(s) and Software:

      • Fluent in English.
