Job Title: Cost Controller Analyst

  • 1 Overall, Job Purpose
  • 1.1 Responsible to support MODEC’s decisions giving meaningful scenarios with deep insights from the analysis by bringing different perspectives on challenges and opportunities with proactivity and relevant financial analysis with reliable information.
  • 2 Core Responsibilities

2.1 Timely review and approve purchase requests and to correctly allocate its WBS code.

2.2 Timely approve service entry sheets and capture cost in correct cost allocation.

2.3 Timely approve costs such as travel request and expense report.

2.4 Set up and distribute dynamic internal report with internal tools.

2.5 Participate on the management of intercompany billing.

2.6 Create new WBS codes on SAP on demand.

2.7 Provide the necessary information and analysis to elaborate Annual Work Plan and Budget to be submitted to Client.

2.8 Elaborate and consolidate all cost information linked to the annual budget.

2.9 Control and report accurate revenue and cost actual information.

2.10 Ensure and report accurate revenue and cost forecast.

2.11 Participate in the elaboration of the monthly cost report to the client and the head office.

2.12 Provide reports and relevant analysis with reliable information on demand.

2.13 Give meaningful scenarios with deep insights from the financial analysis.

      • 7 Qualifications & Experience

      7.1 Educational Qualification:

      - Bachelor’s in engineering, Accounting or Business Management
      - 5 to 7 years of experience, including a minimum of 3 years in a Cost Controller position.

      7.2 Certifications:

      Any certification in data analysis (Power BI, Power query…) will be a plus.

      7.3 Trainings: Complies with the Training Matrix and Regulatory and Required by Modec Training Management Procedure, available in the Integrated Management System (IMS).

      7.4 Relevant Experience:

      Experience in data visualization & data analysis are a strong asset.

      Accounting and financial knowledge are a strong asset.

      Previous experience in the offshore industry (FPSO Operator, Drilling Companies or other companies in the Oil and Gas sector) is a competitive edge.
