Perform the more complex activities associated with ensuring on-time delivery of equipment, material and documentation for the required projects. Ensure expediting activities are carried out as per procedure and are well documented. Work with suppliers for recovering if schedules are not met. May serve as a lead or work on an independent role. The Lead is to keep manager informed of progress, potential controversial matters, far-reaching implications or intractable problems and frequently provides reports and presentations on which upper management bases important decisions

Key Accountabilities

Coordination of Supplier Performance EvaluationCoordinate and supervise the evaluation of Suppliers performance in collaboration with the relevant project procurement managers and participate in the formalities for inclusion, retention, upgrade or deletion of vendors from master vendor list.
Management of Expediting ServicesManage, coordinate and monitor the expediting services and develop the resourcing plan in anticipation of projected workload within allocated budgets.
Coordination with suppliersEffectively communicate & coordinate between suppliers and internal stakeholders by facilitating the flow of information, resolving any issues or conflicts, and ensuring that both parties are aligned on expectations and requirements. To maintain regular contact with suppliers, providing updates on orders, addressing queries, and fostering strong relationships. Ensures that documentation requirements (Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, Production and/or Fabrication schedules, Bills of Materials , documents and drawings) specified in the PO are delivered within schedule.
Development of expediting planDevelop or modifies an expediting plan for the assigned project(s), which is based on criticality ratings of the equipment in relationship to the project schedule by identifying critical paths, setting clear milestones, and establishing deadlines for each phase progress of the package equipment
Monitoring of supplier's deliveryIdentify critical milestones in the supplier’s supply chain process, such as engineering, order placement, production, shipping, and delivery and monitoring these milestones closely to ensure that suppliers are meeting deadlines and progressing according to the agreed-upon schedule and If there are any delays or issues, communicate with the supplier to address them promptly.
Review Inspection ReportsReviews Inspection Reports to confirm that items meet the necessary compliance requirements and conform to the project specification and identify any non-conformity and defects that need to be raised to the relevant stakeholders to resolve the problems efficiently
Expediting ReportingIssues and maintain accurate record of vendor's activities in the expediting report recording vendor's engineering, procurement, fabrication, production and delivery status and distributing the expediting report on a regular basis to the Project Team ensuring transparency and accountability.
Liaise with internal departmentsLiaises with Logistics to provide advance notice of impending shipments and to trace major shipments from the supplier to the job site if necessary. Liaise with Purchasing, Engineering, and QA/QC to resolve any commercial, technical, or quality problems.

Qualifications

- Diploma in engineering with relevant years of professional experience.
- Degree in engineering, business administration, supply chain, operations or related field preferred.
- Minimum eight years’ experience in a related environment with exposure to expediting, inspection functions and experience interacting with suppliers for graduates or minimum ten years of relevant working experience for diploma holders.
